I know the eGates aren't always open, but when did they start accepting non-EU passports (e.g., Japan, USA, or Australia)?

Nope. It could have happened. My friends also queued more than 4 hours (security screening) on Monday and also missed their flight.
I read this morning also in the Dutch Review that there might end up being some sort of class action suit against Schipol for all the people who missed their flights and the airline either int rebook or wouldn't refund. What an absolute mess...I have a daughter flying out on June 29 and her boyfriend flying out three days later. And one other question...has anyone here every use the Yotelair inside Schipol for the night before? The price is ridiculous but still a heck of a lot cheaper than buying last minute tickets to the States. I am also reading reports of people using this to make sure they are through the queues the night before. |

- 11.20 a.m. Schengen to non-Schengen. eGates all open, no queues there or at the manned desks. I forgot to check how many of the latter were open. - 13.20 p.m. Non-Schengen to Schengen. eGates all open, not even a handful of pax using them. Every single manned desk open. There was a crowd waiting in line, but the queue did not extend beyond the tensabarriers. In both instances I was the only one using Privium, and through in 30 seconds or so. Johan |

Sounds like a YMMV. The better half will be flying out of AMS on Sunday 26 10AM ish to DBV. Will be staying at Sheraton the night before. How is DBV handled being part of EU but non-schengen, will they need to go through passport control? Will they be able to travel with just a EU ID?
