This was probably written for summer 2021, but we all know how that turned out with Delta becoming the dominant strain.
Or, even more likely, written in february/march, printed in april, for distribution in may so you could read it in june.
Dutch efficiency at its best.
French efficiency at its best.

That kind of tone is exactly what a frazzled passenger needs after queuing multiple hours outside Schiphol. And the overworked staff at the aeroport and airlines.
I say it's time to bring out the guillotine.

Was hoping someone could clarify something for me. Our daughter will be returning home for the summer from university. She has Delta Silver status. Will that get her in any of the fast lanes for security and/ or bypass those long queues? I am telling her to bring carry on only. Not sure if Delta is allowing for online check in for a US citizen now since no test is required. She's flying June 29 AMS-BOS 2:40PM. Thank you.

From the Terms and Conditions:

This they didn't:

I can't find anything about Schiphol restricting services otherwise. Being denied priority security because Privium 'doesn't give priority anymore' is a breach of contract. Schiphol will no doubt argue they do give priority, or they have exceptionally circumstances but, in my view, it's just Schiphol failing again.

I decided to call up Delta (my ticketing carrier) and I moved myself to an earlier flight inbound, now I have 3.25 hour stop in AMS and maybe a peace of mind
EDIT - My bad, my situation is the reverse from yours, I was going NS->S

Privium is a Schiphol service vs SkyPriortiy/Business something of the airlines. The main reason to get Privium is to get priority, at the parking, at security and at border control (irisscan).

The past few months it was hit and miss, sometimes the Privium line was in operation sometimes not and had to queue with SP pax(Schengen only)
It has been silent on Privium's behalve,no communication whatsoever.
Thankfully Thursday is my last flight, and i will steer clear from Schiphol till September.

Ain't this a doozy.
She might be able to do a document check at a transit counter airside.
The way it used to be before this meltdown. You'll find a lot of mentions from Johan and other decrying when Privium lost their own security and was merged with standard priority, now since this crisis, it seems that how Privium is handled depends on the mood of the on-duty supervisor. Sometimes it's separate, sometimes it's together, sometimes it does not get prio at all.
Considering that the alternate route from Dep2 (SkyPriority stairs) prio to Dep1 prio checkpoint is now closed, I wonder if it would not be better for Privium holders to make use of Dep1 entrance as opposed to Dep2 stairs. Note that I don't mean the stairs opposite SP checkin zone, but the entrance behind checkins 1-6
hi
a friend will fly with TK to AMS , transit one night lanside in amsterdam and then UA the day after to IAH , what about queues for such journey ?
I suggested her to not leave the NS area and sleep in mercure , i know here its KL not UA but any idea if UA will allow online checkin and if its possible to fly with to the US with electronic BP only ??

A colleague who went through the Priority access point just before I went through the Privium one, spent some 30 minutes longer in line than I did. When I met him later at the gate he told me that after I had gone through the checkpoint another half dozen Privium pax arrived. They were all sent to the back of the line by the same lady. Some of them did not take it lying down, and caused a ruckus. There was a lot of yelling, waving of cards and recording of the Schiphol lady with cellphones. She was tiny by any standards, and called for backup, which arrived in the form of a hulk. The Privium members then had no choice but to meekly fall in line. Literally.

As soon as things started going haywire Privium should have sent members an email, explaining what was going on, what the airport was going to do about it, and how they were going to ensure that members would continue to enjoy the privileges they are paying for.
All we got was an email announcing a price hike.
Disgraceful.
