Leaving out of AMS on DL on Monday 1pm. Hoping that Sky priority helps some with lines? It sounds like things have eased up if some are getting through in 25 minutes?
Some are suggesting arriving 3.5 hours early?

A colleague also made it through in 25 minutes today. To some extent it appears to be a matter of luck. Pax numbers at security seem to fluctuate widely during the day, if you get there at the right time its just like any normal day. If not . . .

I'm curious to see if things will have calmed down somewhat by Tuesday. I'm one of 18 (12 in, six out) on 12 different KL flights and one RO. That's 13 potential delays or cancelations.

Johan

you are flying On 13 flights on one day? Or how should I read it 😁?

Now that would be a feat! One out of 18 pax, the other 17 are colleagues.

They have opted for wrong winds from a different direction at Schiphol this morning, so only the short Oostbaan is used for landings!

This.

I keep my tangle of cables and chargers in a slim, transparent plastic bag which is prominently visible to all, stuck into the side pocket of my rucksack.

That bag never goes to secondary any more.

my cables are together as well, in a cable organizer kind of pouch, never caused issues.

having the e-cig next to the bag in the tray, or in a separate tray with wallet, phone, and the likes, still has that tray go to secondary. Keeping it on my body is a no-go too.

one would revert back to classic cigarettes just for this 🤪

Same, I never check, my carry on is very small. They can kiss their XXX before I check a bag. Not going near a check in desk, or a bag drop one either. Just the thought of those line ups makes me shudder.

I always check. Started that when the hysterics around liquids began and haven't given it up yet.

Seeing the current mess and the insanity with flying empty planes back to Schiphol I've decided to do the next three business trips by car. Nothing else scheduled until mid-august. If they haven't got their .... together then I'll just have to find out if Eindhoven or Dusseldorf have decent connections to Scandinavia

I have a 50m connection on Weds non-schengen to non-schengen . I guess thats looking decidely iffy based on the current situation at AMS?

Well, depends on whether you'll have to clear security or not. If not, it sounds perfectly doable, assuming on-time arrival.

Passed through security in 10-15 minutes around 13:30 this afternoon. Only hiccup was the X-ray on the extreme right that Privium members were being directed to that didnít appear to be functional. Security were grumpy as usual. Now whiling away the extra hours in the Privium lounge where the staff are as courteous as ever.

Forgot to add, yep security clearance needed!

According to Luchtvaartnieuws, KLM claims that over 90% of pax left stranded high and dry on Saturday have now reached their destination, or been rebooked. They don't say when these rebooked pax will get to travel, nor what happened to the last 10%. Presumably they were the resourceful ones who gave KLM the finger, took matters into their own hands, and will now send the airline the bill. KLM has also promised to settle all claims within seven days.

The Oostbaan is still the only runway for arrivals, and punctuality is once again a right mess, albeit not quite as awful as yesterday and Saturday.

At least today the weather is crap.

Has anyone here been successful in rebooking a KLM flight to AMS booked through AF without change fee and fare difference, as mentioned as an option in the KLM travel alert?

If you have booked a flight to, from, or via Amsterdam departing on 23 May up to 10 June 2022, you can see below what rebook and refund options we can offer you.
[..]
You can change your travel dates free of cost if your new departure date is before or on 17 June 2022. This means we won’t charge a change fee or a fare difference.
The KLM website won't let me use the "Change my flight" option ("Rebooking not possible") and the AF website wants me to pay the fare difference. KLM says that they are unable to assist me, as the ticket was booked through AF, while AF does not seem to be aware of this policy at all.
