Heads up:

Tomorrow again a busy day at Schiphol airport.
Peak times expected between 10 - 16 H

Most amusing quote:
Andere maatschappijen die normaal veel mensen laten overstappen op Schiphol kunnen dat voor deze ene keer wellicht op andere Europese luchthavens doen, stelt Vitalis

Other carriers that facilitate transfer passengers at Schiphol, might handle this at other European airports as a one-off....

Are there really "non-EU passports" desks at AMS? While the term is commonly used by pax across Europe, most airports only have EU passports desks and all passports desks. Thus, EU citizen can choose any queue if convenient, they don't have to stick to the EU line. At the same time, EU line usually moves faster (for obvious reasons) so it's worth sticking to it even if it's a bit longer.

That is indeed correct, but there were staff there checking which passport passengers had and they kept EU passport holders out of the “All Passports” queue (which goes against the meaning of “All” of course).

Makes you wonder what an operational director of Schiphol does for a living. Certainly nothing related to operating an airport or commercial aviation in the broader sense.

Indeed the evidence keeps adding up for me to want to join Privium, even if I have sky priority

Must be taking a page from the German eco-hippies. The ones here blockaded FRA access a few weeks ago then did random sit-ins (some glue their hands to thhe pavement) during rush hours at key roadways and interchanges.

Relax, they have just appointed a new CEO, who has lots of experience making life miserable for those traveling by train in Holland. I have no doubts that she can ensure that Schiphol keeps up the good work.

What the heck has the Schiphol C-suite been smoking?

What other carriers have lots of transfer pax at AMS anyway? And how will sending them via other hubs shorten the lines at departures security?

I figure they should all be encouraged to glue themselves to any suitable pavement, and then be left to their own devices. Sooner or later they will then have to answer the call of nature on camera.

But she’s the future CEO of KLM, not Schiphol.

Yes, of course, you are right! But hey, the airport and the airline as like Siamese twins, so the two CEOs will no doubt be a good match. Synchronized wrecking balls.

KL's punctuality wasn't very impressive either on Saturday.
