Flying AMS-ZRH and trying to figure out if I should eat in the lounge or there will be some sort of food / snack onboard?

They do, but if you have a large appetite I'd still eat something in the lounge.

Agree with CyBeR, it is a small lunchbox so consider it as a snack and pre-eat accordingly if you need.

They seem not to have caught your eye, but there are several lavishly illustrated threads in this very forum that will tell you all you ever wanted to know (or perhaps rather not know) about KL catering, in the lounges as well as in the air. They are not all that hard to find.

For a 3 hour flight they still serve the ceasar salad or the falafel salad (+ dry and warm bread), because they do not even have butter

Butter is from milk, so considered not planet friendly, so should be banned. Especially on a Dutch airline.

LED-AMS-ZRH. Got falafel salad and ceazar salad. Y got sandwiches on both flights. What's the reason to book C? Had better food on SU Y few days earlier.

Aeroflot Economy Class is the way to go (but NOT on longhaul). But I fear it's going to get crapified at some point in the future.
