KLM Refund
Hello guys, just after a bit of advice.
I have just returned from Thailand. Like many others, I had a number of flights cancelled before eventually arriving back. My query is from my initial return flight booked with KLM. I arrived 17th March and was due back on 1st April. The return flight was cancelled on 26th March.
Regards claiming, should I be refunded the cost of both legs (as I have read somewhere else) or will I only be offered a voucher?
Any help appreciated before I get in contact with them.

You are entitled to a cash refund. If both flights were cancelled for both flights, if only the return flight was cancelled then only for the return flight.

I assume you have already read KLM's current policy and instructions on their website? So you already know that they are only offering vouchers for cancelled flights.
Have a look at this discussion, which is currently the top thread in the AF/KLM forum. There are similar threads at the top of just about every other airline subforum. There are many, many, many people in your situation, so there is already a lot of advice for you there:
COVID-19: refund provided as voucher (for non refundable fares)
The quick answer is that yes, you are legally entitled to a cash refund (as mfkne said, only for the unused part of your ticket), but you will need to fight to get it. Or just take the voucher.

If KLM cancelled flights and did not provide you with this new flight that got you home, then yes, you are due a refund for only the return part of your original ticket. At the moment, they are providing these refunds only in the form of vouchers.
If KLM arranged/provided your new homeward flight, then there is no refund due. They got you home.
- the outbound KLM flight which you took without issue, or
- the "new" flight that got you home.
The original outbound KLM flight that got you to your destination without issue will not be refunded.
Whether you can claim a refund for any other flight requires more information from your side as to what flight you actually took and how it was paid for.

It would be nice if people could refrain to start new threads for c19 cancellations/refunds while there are already several on-going on the same topic
