Why are so many of the moving walkways at AMS broken?

Yesterday I departed from AMS. There are 6 walkways between the central area and the first B-gate. Out of the 6, 5 were non-operational. At the B gates themselves I am pretty sure that they removed some of the walkways that used to be there. Not sure if the ones remaining were working or not.
Its absolutely ridiculous that in places like Asia they have these kind of walkways outside of airports, public places (on the street sometimes), used much more than at AMS and never have issues with them....while at AMS airport, where we all pay hefty fees to be allowed to pass through there, they cannot keep them operational.

I did make a complain about this, and the response I received was that the airport does know this is an issue - however they are waiting for the spare parts to arrive, therefore this is why they are not able to fix them at a faster rate - true or not.. I do not know.
Cheers!

This afternoon:
- 3 out of 4 escalators from arrivals up to T2 departures not working
- 3 out of 6 moving walkways in the corridor to the B concourse not working. Banners still there, no sign of any activity.
- in the B councourse the first pair of moving walkways has been removed, the other four were all working.

picked up an old colleague on Friday arriving from MUC at a distant C gate while waiting in my car at the drop-off zone of Departures 3. Took more than half an hour for him - with just hand luggage to arrive so when I saw some emergency services rushing in, I thought he perhaps had some other issues.
Turned out the walk form Cxx to arrivals 3 (all other halls are still closed) took him that longs since none of the belts was working
would have hoped they solved this during the lock down....
dropped him today and he told me the walk again took 20 mins since also on the D pier all belts were out
for the rest - quite deserted but piss poor performance.
LH lounge closed

I had an hour to spare this afternoon, and since the lounge was closed I ambled around almost the entire Schengen airside part of the airport.
B-concourse: all working
Link to B-concourse: none working, but the signs were encouraging.
C-concourse : first walkway hidden behind hoarding, others not working.
D-concourse, upper level: one walkway in the left-hand (north) fork more or less taken apart. No workers anywhere in sight. All the others working.
