A330-200 overbooked with seats blocked?

I was recently travelling AUH-AMS and the flight was over booked with people being offloaded but I also noticed that the rear bulkhead center seats were blocked off(same on the outbound) what’s the reason for this?

I saw this a week ago on an A330 to Montreal. I guessed there was a fault with the seats.

Is this row 30? The seats are blocked to create a passage for crew (and PAX).

Yes. This has been implemented after the change in seating configuration (adding Y seats), which caused complaints among crew and passengers about lines forming in the aisle and disruptions of the service flow.
