Is my flight really full?

Flying KL1620 LIN-AMS tomorrow. I had selected my seat a few days ago, and the cabin seemed really open. This morning when I checked in though (almost exactly 30 hours ahead of time), I decided to see if someone had sat next to me and it shows the plane completely full. Does KL restrict seat selection within check in, or is my flight actually full?

Figures. Part of a group of 30, so it makes sense. Thanks.

Another example why seatmap is a poor indication of actual load. This is especially the case when more passengers purchase fares which don't allow seat selection until check in.

Once online check in opens flights fill up very quickly, as all passengers are then eligible to select seats free of charge. Up until that point only status passengers or those willing to pay have chosen seats

Well the flight was cancelled anyways. Rebooked to the same flight tomorrow, but I was given an exit row automatically.

Let's hope you won't have anyone sitting in your lap!
