Damaged luggage claim with KLM

Damaged luggage claim with KLM

I have lodged a claim for the damaged luggage flying with KLM.
The claim process requests for receipt of the luggage.
Just wondering how to overcome this request as I know that most people are not in the habit of keeping receipts.
Any suggestions would be welcomed.
