747 exit row

Hi all,

Does anyone have experience with the window seats at the emergency exit row on the 747?
They are free of charge, but I'm not sure how they compare to normal economy seats.

Thanks!

They can be a bit chilly

Agree with the "colder" remark.

These seats are free of charge because the part of the door the holds the emergency exit slide kind of blocks your legroom, so you have to angle your legs sidewards towardss the middle seat in order to strech them. That's easier if the person in the middle seats travel with you, it's less pleasant if it's a stranger. Otherwise you need to sit up pretty straight.

Unfortunately the top of the "slide" is not flat but tilted, so you can't rest your legs on it.

And if you do you will be spoken to!
