KLM Lost Baggage - working for you 24/7

KLM lost my checked baggage yesterday - and found it earlier today, and put it on a late afternoon flight to NWI.

Ten minutes ago - just after midnight - my telephone rang, waking me up.

People don't normally ring me at midnight unless there is an emergency, so - needless to say - I panicked a bit.

But no, it wasn't an emergency. It was KLM's courier telling me my baggage would be delivered in around half an hour's time.

Unbelievable...

Well, it's here now...

To make it all worse, the delivery driver absolutely stank of smoke and my suitcase has a distinct smoky smell about it.

(For those unfamiliar with the laws here in the UK, smoking in company vehicles is illegal)

Off to bed now. Second attempt.

Norwich Airport told me it was going to be delivered in the morning. They never said it was going 1 o'clock in the morning...

It can be annoying, I'll grant you that.

KLM are terrible for not loading all the luggage. I don't think they actually "lose" it

Back in the days, the Fokker 50 was notorious for that.

Due to its limited cargo capacity, it was not at all unusual for bags to be intentionally left behind at AMS, especially on full departures with lots of pax connecting from longhaul.
