Calling KLM takes me to a DL rep. Today I was told that he can see 3 open seats on the map but was unable to reserve them. Then he assured me that as time got closer to the flight, I would be able to confirm seat.

Was that the same one that drove into a pickup truck? I guess it wasn’t ready to go home yet

CUR was supposed to switch to the 78J in late February, but it’s been pushed back to June, when it’ll be mixed 78J/747. It wouldn’t surprise me if CUR winds up being the last one. (This is the third time they had removed the 747 from CUR, to then backtrack.)

Rumours have that the 747 won't be removed from CUR until the end of 2020 - not sure whether it's going to be until the start of the winter schedule 2020/2021 or the end of the year.

I'm looking to book JFK-AMS this fall and it looks like the 747 drops off the schedule at the end of October, but I don't see a replacement for KL644 on a different aircraft afterwards. The notice here seems to indicate it won't end until January so I'm hoping they just haven't loaded all the dates yet.
