KLM Schengen lounge contracted to Star Alliance

Hi all,
As everyone know, the contracted lounge (Aspire) of Star Alliance for Schengen flights is nothing more than horrible. I was just checking Star Alliance website and found this:
http://www.staralliance.com/en/airpo...dTracksContent

KLM Business Class Lounge

Location
Terminal 1, Departure Hall 1, Pier D
Mezzanine level,close to gate C04
after security control
Opening hours
04.45 - 21.00
Facilities
See facilities

Does this mean, from now on we are allowed to use KLM lounge also?

Unfortunately no. This only applies to the LOT flights, as they have a special relationship with KL.

I would say "fortunately no". The lounge is crowded enough as it is, I don't think there is room for more

Are you sure about that? Flying a lot with LOT (pun intended) out of AMS, and they are using the ASPIRE lounge. IIRC there is no lounge at all near gate C04, where to *A page directs.

I have used the KLM lounge at AMS when flying on LOT as a *G on more than one occasion. It's been a while since the last such ticket, though. I will check to see if LOT is still listed on the board at the entrance to the lounge.

Their website though does suggest they no longer use the KLM lounge:

I prefer the aspire schengen lounge over the KLM lounge. Even when flying skypriority airlines from AMS I use my priority lounge pass to use the Aspire lounge. Not that the lounge is great but the KLM lounge must be one of my least favorite lounges to visit in all my travels.

The KLM lounge is not great indeed, but (imho) miles above the aspire lounge. Personally I don't like the coffee they serve, there is generally no food (or run out of), its even more crowded than KLM next door..and more than once I have had an issue with the staff's attitude. Things like being denied access because they don't like the fact that the FF number of the BP is not the same as the Gold card in my hand.

Things may, or course, be different at different times during the day. I'm generally flying in the morning, either on one of the early flights out (7AM) or noon.

The Schengen Aspire lounge is not a particularly pleasant place to wait for a flight. And Xandrios is right - the coffee is awful. (I have not yet been to the non-Schengen Aspire lounge)

The KLM lounge is much better.
