Better that it waits for you, rather than you wait for it!

I pray for you, Sjondorn. I'm on an outbound in two months, we'll see how it goes. Will I end the year with an absolutely ridiculous record in EC261 compensation? Who knows!

A note on the KL601 today: saw her in a corner of the tarmac at LAX. One of the attendants mentioned a birdstrike on an engine, not sure how accurate that is.

We were delayed as well; about 25 minutes, then 10 more minutes to find a gate (oh, LAX). Fortunately KLM and Delta are effective partners and my connecting flight is also delayed two hours.

Haven't dared to fly SFO-AMS for a few months, but it was time to go again tomorrow.

You guessed it: KL606 is cancelled. Ralph, got any juicy info?

KL 605 is canceled on March 12. Got the email this morning. Fco-ams-sfo rerouted to FCO-CDG-SFO. Technical reasons.

Naturally. If anyone else here ever wants to fly the AMS-SFO route, for the low price of €1/month I will let you know if I am flying (and thus, means the flight will be cancelled). 13 cancelled flights last year.

You could live decently well in some countries on the compensation money...

Not much more than 'tech reasons'. The PH-BHC that was scheduled for the SFO flight is now scheduled for Osaka.

Interesting how SFO always gets the shaft. I wonder if it has the lowest load or something.

Perhaps rerouting SFO pax is cheap and easy?

Oh, this is really annoying for SFO flyers.
