DoD Upgrade @ AMS Question

Is there a cut-off time when the agents either at the Crown Lounge or the Transfer Desk cannot process DoD Upgrades?

I am a Delta Diamond member and have been able to upgrade using SkyMiles+cash on all but one of my KLM long-haul flights, but have always made sure I had a long enough layover time in AMS to get to the CL and get it handled.

I have two upcoming flights that only give me 1hr 20m layover and I'm wondering if this is enough time to run to the CL and try and get a DoD Upgrade processed.

Any experiences with this? :)

Thank you! :)

Yes, when the flight is closed and the departure transferred to the gate. Not sure exactly when that happens, though.

An crown agent agent once told me it was 45 minutes. However had an agent in the past who did make a call to the gate and a couple of minutes later i had a new ticket :)

Thanks, peeps. :)

I am flying LAX-AMS-CPT soon. With the 1:20 Layover in AMS is it possible to buy the DoD upgrade for AMS-CPT BEFORE I board my LAX-AMS flight at LAX? Technically it will be a "same-day" purchase....

Asked once, this was an AMS dod upgrade (KL operated). Answer; i had to be at the airport (AMS) and could not to do it from anywhere else, that included internet, by phone.

You always can try....
