Schiphol Bus Gate B01

Hi,

I have a question re: the bus gate B01 in Schiphol.

How does this work in Schiphol? Where will the bus arrive vs. where will boarding happen? How long will it get between these two places? Will I have to go through security or wait in any sort of line? Or can I just step out of the bus, enter the terminal building, and then I'm immediately where boarding happens?

Reason: I want to do a "quick turnaround", where I arrive on a flight and then immediately depart again on the same plane going the other way.

How much time shoudl be between the two flights for this to work reliably?

Thanks :)

The bus will drop you under the Schengen departures hall,so between C & D piers. You then go upstairs into departures to make a connection, for you that will mean going back to B pier and then down to stairs to the gates. You should get there in less than ten mins from getting off of the bus. Are you sure that it is the same plane going both ways?

Which flights are we talking about?

And sometimes, even a F70 gets to park at a gate, and not end up on a bus stand ....

If you are talking about KLM, you must remember that AMS is their base, so a plane arriving there will most likely continue onwards to a different destination once it has been turned around.

For instance, looking at PH-BCB, a 737-800, yesterday it operated as follows:

HEL-AMS (arrived AMS 08:21)
AMS-MAD (departed AMS 09:44)
MAD-AMS (arrived AMS 15:19)
AMS-CDG (departed AMS 16:47)
CDG-AMS (arrived AMS 20:05)
AMS-BGO (departed AMS 21:41)

Your question, therefore, appears to be coming from a false/incorrect assumption.

It is very unlikely that you will be departing on the same plane that you arrive on, if your question relates to a KLM flight.

Or, maybe on behalf of the OP, we should rephrase the question:

- What is the minimum turnaround time at AMS to go back to my originating airport?

(In the end, with no checked bags, you will be limited by what KLM is willing to sell as a ticket, unless you want to do 2 separate bookings and take lots of chances)

Cheers,
