Flynt

With his sharp eye and original comments, KLM’s Very Interactive Puppet (VIP) is conquering Facebook. On behalf of KLM’s social media editors, Flynt shows you what happens at KLM on his very own Facebook page. He does this in a typical Flynt-like way: slightly critical and clumsy. For example, Flynt tests new KLM products, takes a closer look at KLM destinations and he shows the KLM organisation from the inside. Flynt has already gone on day trips to several departments. His photos and observations he then shares with his Facebook friends. So, with Flynt you get an interesting peek behind the KLM scenes. 5,000 friends The fact that his reports appeal to many people is shown by the rapid growth in the number of followers: Flynt already has more than 5,000 friends. "And not only that," says social media editor Thije Nobbe, "there is also an above average response to Flynt’s posts, which we consider a sign of appreciation. We offer this active fan base KLM news in an original way, 3 to 4 times a week." Curious about Flynt? "Like" him on his Facebook page |
Stupid way number -infinite- of KLM to spend their money on.

I'm certainly not curious about Flynt, nor about Facebook for that matter.

I'm reminded of the animated film..."Up"
I can see that this would be fun for the marketing department to do (no doubt with their CVs in mind too....) but I'm pretty sure that most passengers would prefer the money spent on service improvements before anything else... (But if they really want a puppet they should have chosen a female - called Pandora :p ) FB |
