FB, OK and codeshore VV
I tried to find the answer, but failed.
It seems I misunderstood the rules of FB? The situation: FB member. OK flight (ticket and number) on VV metal. Should I get flight and points? In my understanding yes. But reply of FB: no points, because airplane was not from Skyteam member, despite OK e-ticket and flight number. Correct or? |

An exception exists for earning in the FFP of the marketing carrier: as a rule, you can earn FB miles on a flight operated by a non-ST airline but under an AF or KL code. But you cannot earn FB miles on the same carrier under a, say, OK or AZ code. Conversely, you may well be able to earn miles in the OK FFP for flights operated by a non-ST airline but under OK code but could not earn on the same airline under an AF code. so: metal= VV and code = OK: does not earn in FB but may earn in OK; metal= VV and code = AF: earns in FB but does not earn in OK; metal = OK and code = AF (or vice-versa): earns in both FB and OK; metal = OK (or AF) and code = VV: earns in neither OK nor FB (except where errors are made). |
Thanks for explanation.
I never knew and it went different (by accident?) in 2010. So I might face the same when flying on SU tickect with Nordavia metal. Will wait. Maybe after all not too bad, the 4 free segments of AMEX :D |
