KLM 747 Combi

Is it true that KLM recently refurbished the interiors of this type in their fleet? Seatguru says that there is only shared TV in economy, and I've read older reviews that described the seats as falling apart, but KLM advertises personal entertainment on all transatlantic flights and I've read a couple forum threads which suggest all KLM 747s now have nicer seats and AVOD. Though obviously I can't change anything now, and I booked the itinerary solely based on price, I'd still like to know which of these two portrayals is correct. AVOD, as you all know, makes a long flight a lot more bearable.

Welcome to Flyertalk.

All KLM longhaul aircraft now have AVOD at every seat. Seatguru is not up to date.

That is wonderful news. Thank you for the answer.

I have emailed seatguru >6 months ago with the request to change that on their website. No effect apparantly. I don't trust seatguru anymore. Shouldn't be too difficult to keep up with changes for them.
I find the posts on this forum much more useful (thanks Gajan).

Seatguru fell into the wrong hands and IMHO is now past it!

Audio/Video on Demand. It offers personal television screens at every seat and the ability to chose what you want to watch and gives you control over pause, fast-forward, rewind etc. The system KLM has also offers games and SMS messaging features.

That's a shame Seatguru is longer reliable. It seemed like a wonderful resource.
