Tile & Inspire
http://www.tileyourself.com/
As a Flying Blue Elite member, you are invited to be among the first in the world to get your Delft blue portrait on a real KLM plane. With this unique initiative, KLM is encouraging you to send an inspiring message to all your friends by converting your picture into a Delft blue tile. Delft blue tiles are a world-renowned part of Dutch tradition. The most inspiring Delft blue tiles that are submitted during the campaign will be placed on a real KLM plane that will travel the globe, bringing your message to the world! Send your message of inspiration around the world with KLM. We'll be selecting the most inspirational tiles to go on a real KLM plane that will take to the skies starting from June. |
lol
But, as in most KLM offers, only possible with a Facebook account. :td: |

I just played without a FB(*) account.
(*) Facebook in that case, but it could have been Flying Blue. |

I may well be the odd man out, but why on earth would I want my Delft blue portrait on a KLM plane?
I would only go along if the portrait would show me sliding down a angled WBC seat, with and expression of utter exhaustion on my face. Johan |

Dear [BonzoESC], Your entry in our Tile & Inspire competition was selected to appear on the plane! This means that your tile together with those of almost 4000 other winners will be reproduced on a real KLM Boeing 777-200. On 15 June, this special plane will take off for destinations all over the world where everyone will see and read your tile with its inspirational message. In a few weeks, we will send you proof that you are really on the plane, so keep a close eye on your incoming e-mails. Once again, congratulations, and we look forward to seeing you on board KLM! With kind regards, The KLM Tile & Inspire Team |
I also got the email. It'll be interesting to see what they look like on the side of the plane.

KLM today revealed the plane at AMS.
press release / article on Luchtvaartnieuws.nl EDIT: First flight is to ATL |
I got an email with a link to a personalized video showing my tile being applied to the jet. I assume that it's a computer generated video with my tile inserted into it, though. Has anyone else been able to spot their tile in real photos of the plane? I was hoping that they'd release a video of the entire tiled surface of the plane.
A new video is up on www.tileyourself.com |

A new video is up on www.tileyourself.com Also, the video is extremely choppy on my aluminum MacBook, but runs fine on my quad i5 iMac. Thanks, Flash! |

Mine looks like http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9802610/Screenshots/x.png ; if yours has the same picture to the left, it's just CG'd in.
