I've been handed one of those €25 coupons that KLM dish out when your bags don't arrive with you. As far as I can tell these cannot be redeemed online, only at a ticketing office. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks.

They can also be redeemed over the phone. You have to tell them that you have a voucher and then they will waive the telephone booking fee. They will however not issue the ticket until you send them the ticket so if you life close to the airport it might be easier to go there, pay for your ticket and get it issued straight away.

Just a simple question, when you use a voucher to buy a ticket in an agency; do they charge your credit card immediatly or when you fly?

Ticket is charged whenever it is issued. Some (most) fare imply instant purchase and thus immediate charging, with others (typically full fare) you can book a confirmed reservation and pay later (voucher and money). No ticket is ever charged as you fly.

Just found out that the phone booking fee will only be waived for the person using the voucher, not for their travel companion. I was advised to book my own ticket via the call centre and the second ticket via the KLM website. Then I would have to send in the voucher per priority / insured mail to confirm my own booking and issue my ticket (which will be issued the minute as my voucher is received; credit card will be charged at that day as well). Then I should contact KLM again to have the two bookings merged. Is it just me, or is that an awful lot of trouble to go through to redeem a voucher you have been given as compensation for a bad experience?

SAS has some kind of travelpass corporate that charges the company account at boarding but i don't know all the details as I have never used it myself.

If you are located in Holland its pretty straightforward; just go to any local supermarket that offers TNT services and you can send the thing for 6 bucks or so. Which still leaves 20 euro discount (Or 30 if you also count the 10 euro booking fee that is charged at klm.nl).

For other KLM bookings originating from AMS, use klm.be ...no extra charges for credit card.
