I'm going to guess this has been asked and answered but .......

Have a ORD-AMS ticket purchased through Delta on KLM metal. Will I be offered an upgrade to purchase? And, if so, by whom, Delta or KLM?

Thanks for any advice.

AMS-KIX : 499€ or 71300 miles (21 seats remaining). Not bad nor good, fingers crossed I will be able to retain my full row for me in EC!
Excellent value though when compared to the 139€/34800miles for CDG-AMS.

AMS-MSP (on the new KLM 787 flight), $509. My first time on the 787 and in C!

Interestingly - this ticket was booked on DL stock, and I could upgrade via the KLM app.

This probably is as good as it gets for AMS-KIX.....this is for 499 Euro this take it or leave it opportunity.....KL is pretty good at filling planes so I would not bet on a full free row in EC. A free middle seat is the best happening to me in the last 2-3 years with AF or KL in Y.

Believe it or not, I got my full free row on both AMS-KIX and KIX-AMS! Outbound flight was really empty (about 40 to 50 pax), inbound was better filled but I still had some luck.

(+ KIX-AMS Y-J 999€)

That is indeed good luck! Your bet paid off, wonderful. Return upgrade is a bit too expensive.
