Thanks for the reminder and the clarification. That really reduces the value of the upgrades to almost zero, then. One thing about SWISS that is good, is that you can buy a special offer upgrade during the booking process (difficult to do at a later point). These carry full benefits (except baggage if not paid for) and miles accrual.

Class T, but these are seaman tickets, fully flex and quite expensive. I think the original ticket was about €1500.
But as I do the return about once a month now, the comfort is worth it's money sometimes, especially with the arrival times in the morning.

AMS-HKG, 17 Nov, EUR 449
But I'm confused with this one. Seat map shows 777-200, 2-2-2, but in the table under the seat map they show old BC reclining seats (photos and description). Any ideas? Is it a bug? If all B777 have been renovated what should I believe: the seat map & plane model or the upgrade's description?
Edit: I've just found out it's 777-200 Epidaurus, PH-BQE, the oldest B in KLM's fleet, WBC on board. Took it!

AMS-OSL 13/8 business seat is empty. 149 EUR. Do I remember well that it used to be 89EUR? Is this getting even more expensive? It's ridiculous for elites to pay that much for a nicer meal and an a dedicated empty seat on a <2h flight.
