A nice and early Christmas surprise.

Tickets originally booked in L. Tried upgrading by phone a few times ahead, No success.
We each got 100% Miles + 50% bonus (both FB Silver). A nice extra.

AMS-MSP tomorrow (December 29th).
EUR399, I'm in Delta T class (cheapest), took it!
Should be a nice ride on the 787-900.
PS--
I see that recently some people have been getting FB Business Class credits on these upgrades.
Anyone with recent experience with SkyMiles accrual on a DL-issued (006) ticket with DL ticket numbers? Thanks.

Took an upgrade on AmS-IAD on the 21st for 339 euro. Aircraft had been upgraded from 787 to 747.

LUX-AMS was offered for 49 euro. Didnt take it for such a short flight.

At the gate the famous beep and I was given a new BP for 2A. Normally that's great, however this time I was traveling with my wife (she was on an award ticket) and this resulted in a bit of a difficult situation. Gate attendants were not helpful at all, however when I asked the purser if I could switch with whoever was in my (economy) seat he offered to move my wife to business too. So that was a great end of 2017 AFKL flying (even though half of the business cabin got the economy snack instead of the business 'basket').

Very pleasant flight.
FYI, I did NOT get the Business Class miles accrual from the Delta program, just the discounted Y class accrual. It was a DL-coded flight, FYI.
Still, a good deal for EUR399 on AMS MSP.

Same experience for me when I paid to upgrade earlier this year.

BCN-AMS €99. Some Y seats still unselected. 8 Rows of EC, but a 739 so not worth it either.

I'm assuming USD, as 380 HKD is roughly 40 euros!
