AMS-CPH €79.--. 10/16 available. Flight went out with 9 pax in EB. Y not overbooked, even had empty seats. They probably didn't know what to expect, what with yesterday's windy weather.

That's KLC, right?

What did you get for your €44? Do they offer the same meal options as mainline?

It was a 9pm flight so meal was a smoked salmon salad, small starter and desert. Thankfully got an empty seat next to me on the E190 and an extra 1000 miles. They mostly want between €79 and €129 for this which I would never pay.

An extra 1,000 miles? I thought that paid upgrades did not earn extra miles (at least, whenever I've bought them, I've received only the miles for the original booking class).

if you scroll far enough back, there was a time when they advertised all shorthaul upgrades as being to World Business Class - including fully reclinging seats, in-flight entertainment, etc etc etc

Yes I as pleasantly surprised by the extra miles , I also understood that they didn't give them for OLCI upgrades.

As per policy they do not, but DoD / OLCI upgrades often glitch out and give you extra miles anyway. A rare time where the weirdness of the KL/AF computer systems works in our favor for once.

This is very funny indeed, I upgraded my AF flight from Premium Economy to Business for 16 000 miles. I was pleasantly suprised to see that I received the miles for business class and thus earned back the miles for the upgrade

Yes and quoted €649 for that on AMS-PRG in E190 (I remember posting that sometime around early January 2016) ...

Ah, this almost makes upgrading a sustainable thing
