Sounds interesting.
Does it mean, that you didn't got an offer at online check-in and called the PSL for an offer?

And normally I would have jumped at the chance (certainly to Eco Comfort), but we're travelling on two separate tickets and my wife with an infant, so she didn't get the upgrade offer obviously, and I didn't want to risk the marriage by upgrading myself and the other kiddo

you could have taken the upgrade and give it to your wife

Ugh - was really hoping for an OLCI offer from premium economy to J on a flight this Wednesday, LAX to CDG and just got a banner on AirFrance saying I'm not eligible for online check-in. Chatted support and they say it's because there was an equipment change (months before I booked my ticket).

Is all hope lost? Is it worth stopping by the counter tomorrow at LAX when OLCI opens (I live 10 mins away)? Not sure how that would work with checked baggage though

If the change of equipment happened months ago, I doubt this is the reason. It's likely because they want to see your passport or any visa required for your trip. Same if it was a last min equipment, that doesn't prevent to do OLCI. But if the new plane is smaller, then overbooking or pax downgrading or upgrading may happen and in this case OLCI could be blocked to facilitate the work of the airport employees.

Not all hope is lost. If you live 10 min away, no risk doing it. I don't know on which flight you are booked, but on wednesday : AF023 is J4, AF025 is J8 and AF029 is J0. So I hope you are on AF025, that's your best bet to have a decent offer. If you are on AF029, it's dead.

Have the same issue as above, banner saying not eligible for OLCI (I assume because flight is to Israel and need to verify passport)
Jfk-cdg AF CDG-TLV LY
was hoping to upgrade jfk-cdg.
Will calling after check in opens for everyone else work?

- 229 EUR at OLCI opening
- 115 EUR a few hours later

First time for me I notice a changing price during OLCI.

Not sure if I'd splash Ä600 on top of a Y+ fare for a daytime flight.

When flying from the US (JFK) online check-in is handled by Delta. I don't recall ever seeing buy-up offers. Is this correct or is there a way around it?
