and, if I can tell based on what the passenger next to me said, there was some sports team on board coming from Brazil. No clue who/what though.
edit: Denmark Deaflympic team it says on their bags.

I do OSL-AMS-OSL a couple of times a month, and I always see 89-99 euro for upgrade at OLCI, often in the cityhopper.
I never buy it. You guys some times have much better prices I guess I get the platinum treatment.
Last week I had an upgrade at the gate because they were full, I didn't see any free spot in economy (we were 5/8 in business).
Edit: confirm, OLCI was already available for my next segment and it is 99 euros. For a 1 hour 30 minute flight.

I'm starting to see a worrying trend though: Without status the upgrade prices seem to be priced lower in almost all instances. Which is a bit of a slap in the face for FF's! Is that the their way of thanking us for being loyal to the airline?

On the other hand,we can select eco comfort and extra legroom seats for free.So why pay extra for an inferior J product?

That's not true for all elites though. The majority is probably Gold and comfort seating is not free for them. Plus, if the prices are as low as posted here sometimes, I'd still think that upgrading may be good value. Even if you get comfort seating for free otherwise.
