I did fly stockholm to barcelona via amsterdam yesterday. í Checked in online but wasn´t offered anything, when i come to amsterdam i check my connection and changed my seat to an exit row but i wasn´t offered any upgrade. During boarding the machine beeps which is normal when you have an exit row, however they upgraded me to c-class and seat 1f, ok , fine with me, but i don´t get it why they give it away if they are trying to sell these upgrades?

Not offered for me as Silver or travel partner (nothing) yesterday on AMS-GVA in R. EF showed Y(total)6 and J(total)5.
At check-in, the lady offered me "economy comfort" because I asked if there were anymore seats to the front.

Got offered wbc upgrade on AMS-ORD yesterday for just 289€. No status, cheap fare. Flight was packes in economy, some seats went empty in business.
Would have been a no-brainer on a redeye flight, hopefully ill get the same offer on the way back!

Found out something interesting yesterday:
It seems op up is offered on a PNR basis. So if you travel with someone without status, they will receive the same offer you do.
Had that yesterday when travelling with an Ivory colleague. We didn't go for the paid upgrade but nevertheless received the OpUp. No food though but who cares for a 1h flight.

Was in M Class (Economy Saver) and bought an upgrade to C class on AMS-DXB for £237 on KL427.
