Connection at BKK
Dear friends,
At the end of december, I shall have a connection at BKK arriving from AMS (KL) and departing to PNH (PG Bangkok Airways). My ticket is issued by AF. I have a 3:30 hours layover. My points are : - is luggage through cheked-in from TLS ? (TLS/AMS/BKK/PNH) I travel in Eco (Biz TLS/PNH is very expensive, and the return leg Biz BKK:TLS surprisingly cheap). - shall Bangkok Airways transfer me airside (I mean staying airside), or shall I clear immigration, check in landside and come back ? - may I use the Syteam lounge at BKK (I am Plat) ? Thanks in advance ! |
Part of your question I can answer...if all sectors are ticketed on one ticket then you should be able to interline your luggage.
|
It is the same ticket.
I am puzzled because Kl and PG do not share their codes... AF and PG do that... |
Your luggage will be checked through PNH and your transfer will be airside as it's an international connection. No need to clear immigration and to collect luggage in BKK, but you'll have to clear security at BKK. If KL is not able to give you your boarding pass for the PG flight, you will have to obtain it at a PG connection desk airside. In this case, don't forget to show the baggage receipt to the PG agent. But I think you'll be able to have it in TLS as AF(KL) is able to deliver PG boarding passes.
As said by snickerstestpilot, you can't use the Skyteam lounge to connect on PG, if the flight BKK-PNH is under a PG flight number (which seems to be the case according to the infos you gave). But you have access to the PG lounge (even if you fly Y). |
Recently there is codesharing between KLM and PG but not on all flights.
And you should be able to get boarding passes for all your sectors. Usually the luggage is tagged through to the final destination meaning you don't have to go through immigration/customs in BKK. |
