I have never heard of discount codes for KLM apart from their vouchers. It does help however shopping around a little for the best price. I have had a few times a much better price for european KLM flights trough Orbitz.com or the US expedia/travelpapa.

ok wonderful, and these vouchers...are they valid for the hole price of the flight or only for the flightprice and I have to pay taxes seperatly every time?

Here's some: www.lufthansa.com, www.austrian.com and www.swiss.com

All joking aside. No discount codes. However, depending on your routing, check the travelocity, orbitz, etc. crowd because sometimes they can be significantly cheaper when dealing with KLM/AF. Somtimes not.

As a rule, I buy my FB flights off US websites. The prices are ALWAYS cheaper (plus they charge in USD) :)

If your route includes a TATL, I would search on AF and DL as well as KL. Of my last two TATLs, the first was cheapest on KL (although I flew on DL metal), but then DL were cheaper on the second which was a mix of KL/DL/AF metal.

How do you choose an european departure point?

Well I just use sites like travelocity, orbitz, etc. and type in the Departue airport or city I want to travel from

I've gotten a better price (and even a few more options) out of AFKL by booking though airfrance.com rather than klm.com.

I usually find cheaper tickets at Expedia or Kayak than on Klm's own website. If you must buy tickets on the KLM website, use the Belgian one rather than the NL one - you'll be able to avoid €10 booking fee as well as avoid the credit card surcharge.
