Expanded Fall Schedule?

Can anyone comment on when JetBlue loads flights for the Thanksgiving time period? Currently, their site only allows booking through September 8th, 2009.

Welcome to FT! This is one of, if not THE, most common question asked on the JetBlue forum. There's no exact science to when JetBlue plans to extend the schedule; however, I can tell you that the current booking window provided a longer-than-normal timeframe when those seats first went on sale. I would guess that Thanksgiving flights will be released by April/May.

Thanks jetBlueNYFL for the information. I was able to find a fare online that I could live with and went ahead and booked it.

The schedule is now extended until January 4, 2010. That is a pretty big window that they opened up; I like it.

I am a bit surprised as they said that they have previously said that were going to open it for TB members first and then the general public. That doesn't seem to have happened this time around.

Nice timing JetBlue. I have to redeem my first free ticket by the middle of May. I wanted to hit the Caribbean in December and I now have a lot of options.

Thanksgiving awards not available

At 8am, I tried to book award travel for the Sunday after Thanksgiving (from east coast to west coast) and no seats were available at all. Does this mean JB never opened up seats for that date, or only that someone beat me to the seats a few hours earlier?

It simply means that there were no seats available at the time you called. Perhaps someone got the seats ahead of you, but I doubt it. I don't think that they ever released seats into reward inventory on those flights nor will they.

jetBlue does NOT always make seats available on every flight. For high demand dates (and a transcon on Thanksgiving Sunday is certainly high demand) it is possible that seats will never be released for reward inventory. It is possible that they will open up later, but I highly doubt it.

I know Jetblue not add all flights when expanding their schedule?

I tried to book a reward ticket, BOS-LAS on Dec 10, and I got a no availability message. No biggie, though I wasn't fast enough to get a free ticket, so I tried booking a regular ticket. No availability either. Not even on a connection through JFK. Whats up with that?

Maybe a bug in the website? I just went back and was able to find a regular ticket. I searched for reward again went back and selected regular again, and it didn't come up.
