NYC to FLL from 11/26-11/30 - Odds Prices Will Go Down?
Want to go home for Thanksgiving from NYC to FLL from 11/26-11/30. Best price right now is $419 R/T... what are the odds the price will go down before the 26th? Likely? Not very likely? Would appreciate any feedback!! Thanks!

Welcome to FlyerTalk!!
That is actually a pretty competitive price for Thanksgiving weekend, especially with Sunday as the return. I paid a similar fare for NYC-STL a couple weeks ago and was pretty happy with it. It isn't the cheapest fare in the market those days right now (Spirit has $394), but I'd definitely pay the extra few $$ for flying JetBlue over Spirit.
And, FWIW, it looks like the fare is split reasonable close, with the Sunday part only about $20 more than the Thursday part. If you are going to make the flight I'd book it now. You can always get a credit if your specific flights drop in price.

I havent looked at any fares but sometimes an early Thurs morn flight was alot cheaper then anything that was still left unsold for Weds, especially this late in the game
It might not be any cheaper but dont forget to check LGA and say PBI and MIA to boot, but at this stage Im sure they will all be appx the same price

There is Spirit out of LGA 11/26 at 1pm and 11/30 at 510am (early I know) for $299 or 11/26 at 1pm and 11/29 at 525pm for $209. The 8pm or 9pm LGA-FLL flight on 11/26 is $30 more

Not for nothing, but that is not really what FareCast is useful for. It is much more of a macro/big picture thing than a specific flights on specific dates thing.

I'm jetting FLL-JFK tonight; paid $71 o/w, and yesterday (the day before) fares for all FLL-JFK flights were selling for $99 o/w. Granted it is not the prime Thanksgiving travel period, but still very cheap for last minute.
