Pdx-mco?
So I was clicking around the the 'Where We Fly' map on jetblue.com, and I noticed that if you click on Portland, OR, it shows a route (in blue) connected to Orlando, FL. This route doesn't show up, however, if you click on MCO (shows a connection through JFK). Is this just a glitch in the map? Or is it a crystal ball to their route planning?

i think that's a glitch. There are a couple reasons for this. First, there has been no such announcement or press release about this. i also did a search on possible flights between PDX-MCO and there are no direct flights..keeping in mind i searched like for august dates. I thought it might have been a through flight where it makes a stop at JFK, but continues onto MCO with the same flight #...not true.
I'm thinking someone just got it mixed up with Portland Maine PWM. But of course...what do i know...they could be starting a new route.:D |

I don't think you'll see to many transcon dot connecting this year. There is going to be more bypassing JFK and some "other" routes in "another" part of the country. ;)

Looks like someone influential reads this board - the route is gone from the map.

Since PWM does fly to JFK and MCO I'd assume that this is the correct interpretation.

Yes, but they didn't bother to replace it by showing the PDX-JFK-MCO routing as a connection.

I don't see any connecting routes on the page, despite the fact that the key shows the different color option for those flights. I think that as the number of connection options has grown the idea of showing connecting routes on the map has become unwielding, so I don't expect to see it too often in the future.

If you click on the "Connecting" button in the "Route Options" box at the bottom of the route map, connecting routes appear in light blue.
I see them now. |
