Looks like one of the airplanes will be themed with the Simpsons...

I haven't heard anything from the company about a Simpson's themed aircraft.
|
It was right in the official press release:
NEW YORK, July 3, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- JetBlue Airways Corporation (Nasdaq:JBLU), in partnership with Twentieth Century Fox, today announced it has been named "The Official Airline of Springfield" -- the hometown city of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie Simpson -- to celebrate the summer theatrical release of The Simpsons Movie. In honor of America's favorite animated family of comedy, the low-fare, high-frills airline will unveil its first-ever specialty aircraft, christened "Woo-Hoo, JetBlue!" and featuring an image of Homer along with a permanent logo of the airline's new Springfield status. |
Thanks for posting that, I was looking on our company page and didn't see anything about a Simpson's aircraft.

:eek:Sorry about that, I must have skipped over that PR. I'm in Europe, and the computers I've been using are too slow!
Now is finally my chance to really fly on a special themed aircraft so I'm excited! The only one I recall flying on was with Southwest FLL-MCO a few years ago. I wonder if it will be on the 190 or 320...if anyone sees pics of this plane when she is out of painting, please post! |
has anyone flown on 100th Jet Blue jet yet with the unique tail design?
I think I saw it at JFK a week ago on my way to Boston, but I'm not 100% sure... I kind of caught a glimpse of it out of the corner of my eye, and I wasn't sure if it was the dots design or the 100th plane design. which special themed Southwest flight were you on? there was a PR photo in one of the recent articles on Southwest with a cool plane design, where only the tail had the traditional Southwest theme to it but the rest of the plane looked like the flag of California... that is neat. --Russ |

I loved the Simpsons episode where they flew "Air Delaware" to Wilmington! As someone who once lived in the First State I found it hilarious!

This seems like a disappointing promotion. Apart from buttons on the Flight Attendant's uniforms and themed napkins, there's very little going on.
The Simpsons channel still hasn't found its way to a seat back TV as of 7/14. |

The Simpsons channel still hasn't found its way to a seat back TV as of 7/14. I saw it on the TVs on 07/01 as I was working and then watched on my commute. So I know they where on there, maybe not working on the aircraft you rode on? |
Woo-Hoo, JetBlue!
Here's an article with a cool picture just recently released...
