Stand-by on connection flight?

I've got a flight from:

LAS-BOS
then
BOS-MCO

I'd like to stand-by for the earlier flight from BOS-MCO when I check in tomorrow. Will I get such an option with OLCI, or will I need to do something else to do this? Anyone have experience?

I'd prob. call JB, but I'm on conference calls almost the rest of the day - so I thought I'd ask y'all...

I would check with the gate agent or someone at the airport to see if you can get on the earlier flight... so far never had a problem except once when the plane was 100% booked.

OLCI doesn't give you the option of standby - it's pretty basic and just allows you to change your seat and pick the number of bags you're checking. I'm not sure which airport they can do it at, but I'd inquire when you get to LAS, and see if they can put you on the standby list from there. If not, just go up to the gate when you get into BOS and ask there. BTW, they might charge you a $25 fee, depending on if the flight you want has seats available.

Also, the 800 number is available 24/7, so you could always call at night sometime.

Also, I'm not sure what the policy is but maybe they will let you do a same-day change for very little or nothing at all to fly LAS-JFK-MCO or LAS-IAD-MCO (I believe IAD-MCO just recently started up). If there are available seats and no (big) price difference, then I would do it if the timing works out better for you. Nothing huge, but you will also be shaving off some travel time since both JFK and IAD are closer to MCO than BOS.

Ask the counter agents in LAS when you check in. They will be able to give you all the info that you will need. We have some awsome people in both LAS and BOS so they should take care of you. Please enjoy your Shut Eye service on your LAS-BOS flight!

You guys are awesome - thank you so much!

I'll be sure to check in with the agents @ the counter @ LAS when I get there. So should I NOT check-in online for my original flights?

I'm currently on:

FL 484 LAS-BOS 22:40-06:45
FL 431 BOS-MCO 10:30-13:30

Ideally I'd take:

FL 196 LAS-JFK 21:20-05:12
FL 155 JFK-MCO 06:55-09:43

But I'd also be just fine with

FL 484 LAS-BOS 22:40-06:45 (Same first leg)
FL 439 BOS-MCO 08:45-11:50

FYI ... I flew stand-by on both legs of my Sunday afternoon ROC-JFK-RSW flight ... I had booked the later set of flights because it was significantly cheaper, but less convienent. I checked in at the counter (not online) and they put me stand by on both and gave me the option to pay the $25 to be confirmed or take my chances for free (i chose the free option) ... ended up having no trouble on either leg (ROC-JFK had 6 free seats, JFK-RSW was maybe 60% full), even checked a bag which showed up without problems as well. So it should be more than possible, just ask at the counter or the gate.

Just to follow up - I ended up calling after midnight at over the phone for a $25 fee they got me on:

FL 196 LAS-JFK 21:20-05:12
FL 155 JFK-MCO 06:55-09:43

instead. I could have stood-by on that flight for no fee accord' to them, but I didn't want to deal with the hassle and instead have seats on the better flight.

Very easy! Nice work JB.

BTW the airline code is B6 not FL :) A good option to switch the flights and pay the $25. Our overnight LAS to JFK and BOS flights tend to be very very full. Glad we all could be of assistance to you.
