Recommending a name

Does anyone know who to write to to recommend a name for a plane? I was thinking of Moody Blue. Or is there a plane with that name already?

I don't think there is. I thought of tons of names that are not in use and sadly I can't recommend them.

You need to work for jetBlue (I think inflight) to be eligible to participate in submitting the plane names. If you win and it is selected for the A320, you win a trip to France...if it is selected for the E190, you win a trip to Brazil. Maybe some jetBlue crewmembers on here can provide further info.

Question: Since jetBlue is selling at least 2, and possibly up to 5 A320's, does anyone know if the names on those older planes will be retired or repainted on a newer one to be delivered???

If I remember correctly, Mr. Schulz was jetBlue's first VP of safety and the plane was named for him when he retired.

With B6 contemplating an expansion to Montreal how about: Sacré Bleu ?

And, if B6, expands to Milwaukee: Blue Cheese Head...

Here's are two different lists of all jetBlue equipment and the names. The first link has more detail (did you know jetBlue pilots named on plane "The Biitch" and "Christine"???) , the second link has E-190 equipment names as well.

I posted those lists earlier in this thread (Post # 13 on May 6)...keep in mind that they are NOT official from jetBlue, however they are extremely accurate! The source is from someone on jetphotos.

I did notice that Sacré Bleu is already in use. Those JetBlue folks are pretty clever!

Christine is the nickname for the first 320 we took delivery of. The plane is "haunted" and stories to her "quirks" spread through the company like wildfire. Many times she seems to have a mind of her own and do whatever she wants to. I've flown on her once and didn't have any issues on her so maybe I was lucky or she just decided to behave.

You have to hand it to B6. Who else would name their plane "Christine?"

It's not for the faint of heart or those who might have a fear of flying

How about when cell phones service is added, B6 could make a product placement deal and call one of its planes "Blue Tooth"

Blue Fin

Yes! I'm the first to say I've flown on Canard Bleu!

That's my one and only B6 flight

Perhaps a mea culpa that the current expansion was a little too quick, the following name could be applied to one of the new aircraft?

Oops! Blue it!
