Cancelling a Blue Basic Flight Booked with Points
 

If I cancel a JetBlue Basic Fare with Points, do I get the points back, or are they lost?
For the same flight, there is a difference of 6,200 points between a Blue and an Even More ticket. Or I can pay $83 for the Even More Seat. What do people value 6,200 JetBlue points at?

With the JetBlue Plus, Business or Premier cards you get 10% of your points back after the trip.

Various travel and finance sites seem to put the average value of a TrueBlue point at 1.35 cents, so $83 would be equivalent.

Isnt there a $100 fee for CXing a Basic fare (think its $75 for a M) pretty much KOs me CXing anything unless something popped up that makes me unable to fly, eg the DCA flight was hoping to SDC to JFK-SJU-DCA but B6 CXed that, so there was no need to stay overnight @ DCA or return right back to JFK, since the SJU-DCA would have gotten in late at night. Had a hotel cert that exps soon so used that and with the Govt Shutdown no reason to go into DC. Then the cost to get back to JFK went up alot so decided its best just to keep everything as is

I assume that this fee also applies to basic award tickets as well?

Also, with a basic point purchased ticket, I have read somewhere that the Jetblue Plus CC holder also does not get a free checked bag. Is that true?

Dont know about the bag but a Mosaic still gets free bags even on Basic for the tome being. With Basic award its $100 fee pretty much will mean not worth cxing, the pts go back into your account and $5.60 goes into your travel bank

Hello, just want to clarify that if I booked basic fare using points and cancel later (past 24 hours), I will get my points back or will they still charge me the $100 cancelation fee?
