Adding A Checked Bag To a Booked Flight?
 

So whenever I book a flight with jetblue online, it would be with jetblue blue which means I would get to choose my seat and have a carry on. I always recall I would click on 1 checked bag and then that cost would be added to the total cost of my fare. That cost would always be separate from my jetblue flight on my credit card online statement though. I had booked a flight not long ago and noticed in my credit card statement, there isn't that 35 or 40 dollar additional charge that jetblue puts on your credit card when you add 1 checked bag. I then took a look at my manage flights and the flight and noticed I didn't add a checked bag which I thought was strange.


Is it most likely I forgot to click on add 1 checked bag in the process when booking the flight? I recall picking my seat but now I don't even recall if there was an option to add a checked bag or not. The thing is I always add 1 checked bag so is it possible when booking the flight, it didn't have this option or that is impossible? Most likely I just didn't notice it? Is it possible for it to not be there? But no matter what, I could add a checked bag now as long as it's before my flight right?


So if I go to my jetblue account online, adding 1 checked bag would cost the same as if I did it during booking right? I am still surprised by this because I was sure I put 1 checked bag like I always do but when I noticed there wasn't a $35 or $40 separate charge in my credit card for the jetblue checked bag like there usually is, is when I went to my jetblue account and notice I didn't even added a checked bag. So you could add the 1 checked bag anytime before you check in correct? But make sure you do it online and just do it at least the day before your flight departs online so that way you get charged $35 or $40 as opposed to $45 or $50 correct if you do it at the check in counter at the airport? I am still shocked at how this even happened. But there is no concern of adding the checked bag even on the day that you are flying but if you do it before checkin and do it on the phone right? There won't be a situation where you can't add 1 checked bag right?

So I guess you were not approved for the JetBlue Plus credit card, huh?

Edited to add: The lower rate for checked bags requires that the fee be paid before check-in becomes available, that is, at least 24 hours before departure.
