Booking Issues
 
Earlier today I booked two one-way award flights. What a clunky, disjointed process. As an aside, who actually asks for DOB in the US? Anyway, the first booking hung on the final payment and then finally confirmed success with a PNR and I printed to pdf. Second reservation hung again, only it hung....forever. I finally opened another tab and checked my bookings. It showed the second booking, so I printed that to pdf too. I confirmed that miles had been deducted and my credit card charged for the fees. 12 hours later I have not received any email confirmation...for either flight, so I checked my bookings again and now the second flight is gone. However, the miles have not been returned and the fees have not been refunded to my credit card. Is this par for the course now at B6?

Well, I spent an hour on the phone today and they sorted it out. The rep, sorry "crew member", said he would email me the confirmation. Two hours later...nada...sigh. This used to be such a unique (in a good way) airline. Maybe Icahn and Blackrock etc can pressure for some change. Otherwise I fear they might just dismantle it.

Every airline asks for the passenger's DOB to pass it along to the TSA. You can thank the Secure Flight initiative for that.

I've found any sort of ad blocker, browser security, etc. prevents bookings from being paid for and completing. Whenever I use a certain browser I have set with those items, a reservation is made but I have to call in to get it paid for and ticketed.
