No outlet = old small screen?
Hi. First post here but I've lurked a while. I did a search for this but couldn't find the answer.
I received a pre-flight email from JB which said (among other things): "This aircraft doesn't have in-seat power (yet!), so we recommend juicing up beforehand." I would *guess* this means this is an airplane which has not yet been refreshed, so therefore still has the old tiny TV screens. Would that be a fair assumption? If not, how can I confirm that we're getting a plane with the new bigger screens? I looked at the thread about refreshed planes, and there was too much info to filter through. Thanks. |
I’m assuming you’re on an A320? If you compare the seat map to the ones that appear on Seatguru, a layout with 150 seats (vs 162) means an unrefurbished plane-
there are still a few A320s flying around like that. (Of course, all the E190s are like that.) |

there are still a few A320s flying around like that. Looks like the return trip is on a 321 with outlets so that's good. |
Thankfully the E90s are mostly used for really short segments now. If they are keeping those around for a while, they really should do refurbishment on the ones they are keeping around longer.
There are 11 that they are returning in 2023 to 20235 that are not getting refurbished. The rest should be refurbished by March. |
As much as I appreciate power outlets, the old ghetto A320s have the most comfortable seats, the most legroom, and still have XM radio (though the A321ceo has that as well, but I hate the seats).
