Best Mint seats for couple?

Are there better or worse Mint seats for a couple? We'd like to sit together. Seatguru doesn't like Row 1, with their usual proximity to lavatory and galley comment, but that often is just automatic. JFK-SFO early morning and early afternoon if that matters.

Row 1 has wider footwells. You'll probably want the right side if you don't want to see the galley light. Proximity to lav is a non-issue with row 1 since there's a galley and door between you and the lav.

I 100% concur with diburning on this. Row 1, seats on the right.

Is there much noise from the galley?

Not especially. At least not as much noise as Y pax at the pantry and lav directly behind row 5.

You can talk across the aisle if you leave the door open or crane your neck upwards over the wall.

I personally prefer Row 5 over Row 1. I don't have issues with the rear lav and Marketplace activity

In my opinion, those are the worst seats for couples traveling together.

We sat in rows 3 and 5. I didn't really notice any difference. Rows 2 and 4 don't make sense for a couple if they want to be in touch.

We reserved too late to get a pair of seats together, so we had the "singles" on opposite sides of the aisle.
We did *not* find it at all convenient to talk, and it was almost impossible even to signal to get the other person's attention. That was okay, given we really wanted to rest. But there are other flights where we do want to sit together, and this seating would not have been at all good for that.

I should add that we were surprised and pleased with the comfort of the seats, and with the service.

If you are a divorced couple, the suites are ideal!

All good seats in Mint

Just did the JFK/SFO run with my wife. Row 3 was great on the daytime flight out. I prefer it to Row 1. Throne seats on the redeye back were definitely the way to go.
