Understanding standby on jetblue

guys - i'm flying jetblue 190 at 12:30pm PST on the 12th. If I go the airport on the 11th for the same flight, would that qualify as standby? I heard the standby flight can only be the flight prior and jetblue does have an evening flight too everyday

Hoping to somehow get onto this flight and pay a pay of $75. The phone agent said she is showing 7+ seats still available but if I pay change fees & penalty, it's over $400. She also said standby rule only comes into effect if flight is fully sold

It's a $75 fee and it's for same day only regardless of the number of flights per day.

If the flight on the same day has seats open, it's $75 to make the change. If the flight is full and you want to list for standby, it's a $75 fee that's refunded if you don't make it on.
