Does JetBlue's departure-delay compensation apply if you change flights?

Does JetBlue's departure-delay compensation apply if you change flights?
My wife recently booked a 5:30pm MCO-BOS flight. The flight took repeated 30min mx delays and ultimately departed at about 12:23am (6.5–7 hours after scheduled departure).
She jumped ship ASAP and successfully flew standby on a B6 7:10pm nonstop which departed at 7:30pm. Flew in a middle seat instead of a window, which is really no big deal.
So … the JetBlue customer promise says you get $250 if your flight's departure is delayed 6+ hours ( https://www.jetblue.com/customer-assurance/our-promise ), but if you ditch the delayed flight you no longer qualify, right? Surely she's owed $0? Would she have qualified for something if she were rebooked on something which left on time but was departing 3+ hours later than her original flight?

Right, if you ditch the delayed flight on your own, you no longer qualify. If JetBlue had re-booked her on a different flight because her previously booked flight was cancelled, or they did it of their own accord, then she likely would have been eligible for compensation assuming the newly re-booked flight was delayed beyond the threshold that made it compensation-eligible.
