Wink What's Mint Worth to You

New member. Question: What's Mint *worth* for those that have used it. I've used 10k points to get to San Diego but have the chance to flip into a 38,000 point Mint fare. I've never taken it, but seems like a decent route to give it a shot.

For those that have done it - how was the experience? Is that a decent price? Seems it.

Thanks in advance.

38,000 is an amazing redemption, where is the origin? Mint is absolutely worth it at that price..

BOS-SAN is amongst the longest mainland US flights possible. Whether something is "worth" it is dependent on what you would do with the miles if you sat in the back. If it's perhaps a mid-winter Carribean vacation at stake, not worth it. Otherwise, maybe so.

I agree with this if any of seats 2A, 2F, 4A or 4F are available.

What is it worth to me? ~$600 or 45,000 points

I've only ever flown in seat 2F though. I've taken about a dozen Mint flights, all in that seat

That's the way I am about 2A, but on my next flight those individual pods weren't available so - GASP - I'm going to have a seatmate in Row 3!

Somehow, I think I'll manage though ...

Yup, all four were still available! For some reason, SeatGuru was showing 4A & 4F as preferable to the 2A/2F options, so I went with that.

Def. worth it, even in rows 1, 3 or 5 as you a) haven't flown Mint before, b) super-cheap redemption, c) East -> West transcon. No brainer, enjoy! The 3+ hours of sleep is well worth it IMO.
