B6 added third frequency FLL-LAX

JetBlue added a third frequency FLL-LAX by early morning flight. Great news! Beginning on January 17, 2019.

yep, this got added a couple of weeks ago. At some point, I'd imagine they add a 4th daily. Making too much money on this route to not try to expand on it.

Yeah, the loads are full and the price is still pretty great if you have flexibility.

Well, they're removing the LGB-FLL route starting 1/8. I had read before that NIMBYs blocked B6 from using LGB as an international focus city. Now B6 seems to be retreating from LGB.

Well they added a fourth frequency (just before 10pm) but it looks like it's coming off the schedule after summer.

Too bad, because it seemed like Mint was often priced lower on this flight. Maybe that's why it's being eliminated.

Do folks ever see $599 ow Mint fares other than the 6am and 10pm FLL-LAX departures?

I see $599 OW's from JFK/BOS to LAX on Saturdays usually. Sometimes $549 from BOS->JFK.

I think there's still cheap BOS<->SEA tickets. Under $500 in some cases. Makes connecting worth a look.

I still get $599 on BOS-LAS sometimes, the 9pm departure. Much less common on the LAS-BOS flight now. When they added Mint to the route, you could get $399 or $499 sometimes too, but those seem gone for good.

I personally think it's a test run and if the numbers look good, they will make it permanent. Basically, this is late arrival into LAX that get in a little after 12. It replaces a JFK-LAX frequency that gets in at 2 am. which is terrible timing. If this can generate better yield than that JFK flight (and I think it should), then I think they will make it permanent.
