That's just what they want!

I keep track and follow up even though it is a PITA. June 26th they FINALLY posted my credits ($22.50) from on board purchases April 3rd, 4th and 23rd. Purchases since then have actually posted correctly.

I called today to ask for credit and points on six on-board purchases for which I had not gotten the 50% credit or points. The person who took the call was clearly very very familiar with the issue. He politely put me on hold, confirmed there were six charges, and told me that he sent an email to his supervisor with all the necessary information and I should see the credit in two to three business days.

This is slightly different from the last time I called them - because that person was less aware of the issue. But it got resolved then and I hope it gets resolved now.

With all due respect to the customer service folks at Barclays - Hey JetBlue - get a new partner for your credit cards.

Thank you for the support. A myriad of B6 issues this year combined with my client mix changing have me strongly considering Delta after this year. I could easily be Platinum if not Diamond level and they know how to treat their loyal customers well. I'm been on a brief B6 break for the last few weeks now and quite honestly I haven't missed them. I will be back later this month though.

As for the credit card issue, it seems to me that they might be using the same Merchant ID number for in-flight and airport purchases hence why in-flight purchases are coming up as Gate Retail. Barclays or any other credit card issuer really wouldn't be able to distinguish where the purchase was made if that is the case. Since there are company moles here, my suggestion would be to use separate merchant ID numbers to pass through transactions from on-board versus in-terminal. This is not a lengthy or expensive process to fix and would save you a lot of customer service headache.

Latest update. I called again today per their instruction from my last call. Still received an inept person "opening a case" on this, which has been "opened" each time I call. Finally got transferred to an American rep. who said they know of this ongoing issue and are having to case by case manually reinstall the credit and the miles that were supposed to be accrued with the charge, "but it might be July 30th, it might be August 30th, we don't know when your credits will be issued". I won't count on it. This is the worst customer service I've received on a credit card that I can recall. And, yeah, Jetblue *might* miss a customer who flew Mint class with them last year, but yeah, maybe not. You sure aren't acting like you want to keep my business, so that's fair.

I had an issue with my Miles & More Credit Card and it became a game of pass the buck between Miles & Mores and Barclaycard, finally I got fed up enough to do something about and after some research I found out that the FDIC regulates Barclay Bank Delaware (which issues Barclay Cards).

I filed a form with the FDIC, within a period of time (I cannot remember exactly how much) someone from the FDIC called me and wanted some more info regard my complaint and my desired resolution and then said that the would talk with Barclay Bank and hopefully they could do something for me. I want to say a few weeks past and someone from Barclays contacted me to discuss the issue further and said that they would get it corrected and to their credit they did, but I should not have had to get the FDIC to fix the issue.

If the incorrect posting continues, I would suggest making a complaints, it seems to really make them listen and fix the issue.

It happened to me again on two flights in July. I've written notes to myself to follow up if credit isn't posted by end of August. This is very frustrating and they should fix it.
