Long Layover - Checked Baggage
I have a 14 hour layover, can bags be checked over to the final destination? I looked in the COC and couldn't find anything. Any official policy you know of?

Is it an international arrival? If it is then you definitely have to retrieve them and recheck after customs but the length of layover shouldn't matter. If it is domestic to international then is should not be a problem.

JetBlue should be able to tag it through and transfer to EVA for that. I'd check with EVA when you return to the airport (assuming you leave and do something useful for part of the connection) to make sure they have the bag tags on file and that they collected them from the transfer zone.
