JetBlue iOS app broken
Well I'm trying to check in for my flight back home and the JetBlue app on my iPhone says there's an update available. No problem - until it shunts me over to the AppStore which says I'm up to date (V3.1.3). The AppStore only gives me the option "Open" (not Update). I go round and round a few times.
Finally I decide to delete the app and re-install it. Same thing. I get the latest version - it tells me there's an update forces me into the app store. The frustrating part is that there's no way to NOT hit "Update" in the app - and I see the 'real' screen behind it telling me to get ready for my flight! SO the app won't run without the update that doesn't exist. Thanks a lot. Glad we still have paper boarding passes as I'll be getting them for my wife and I on this leg. |
IT is aware of the problem is is pushing the correction to the Apple Store. Just waiting on Apple to approve.

That's strange. I was able to check in for my flight on the app.

Seems to be fixed now.

Different symptoms, but I'm also finding the app unusable today. I've been unable to check in via the app for two hours. It gets to the stage where it's supposed to display my boarding pass then stalls for several minutes. Finally spits out a screen that says:
Bummer. There was an error creating your mobile boarding pass. Please try again later. |

Other issue is, once the gate agent opens the flight on their computer, you are no longer able to view your boarding pass in the app. It gives you the option to view it, but does nothing. Make sure you add it to your Apple Wallet if you are using iOS. |
