24-hour same Day Change for Mosaic

Received this email today. Makes more sense, since it gives B6 more time to resell your seat. The same day change is the best feature of Mosaic status. As a frequent business traveler, change fees are what kills me, and this benefit has saved me alot of money.

Mosaics no longer have to wait until the clock strikes 12AM to make a last-minute confirmed change. Before, you were only able to make same-day changes on the same calendar day as your original flight. Now you can change your flight a full 24 hours before your current departure for no fee or fare difference. Here’s how:

If your departure city has multiple flights per day:
You must contact JetBlue prior to the departure of your original flight.
You can make your confirmed same day changes via the Mosaic Customer Service Line at
1-877-JET-TRUE or at the airport beginning 24 hours prior to your original scheduled flight (in the time zone of the departing flight).
You must travel on an earlier or later flight the same day.
You must travel between the same city pairs or designated co-located airport.
If your departure city only has one flight per day:
The same day change option is not available for cities with one flight a day.

We hope to see you onboard soon!

Can anyone chime in on if the same day change waiver also applies to companions on the same reservation? Can't seem to find it in writing..

Yes, I can confirm you can make the change to companions, too, as long as they're on your confirmation # (and not a separate reservation)

Is this applicable to Mint fares as well?

If the flight I want to change to is just past midnight (e.g. Sat 12:40am), then booking a Sat afternoon flight would qualify? Asking since the Sat afternoon Mint fares are usually much cheaper, and that midnight flight is essentially a Friday night redeye. TIA

Yes and yes, with the caveat that if the 12:40a flight is sold out you're stuck flying on Saturday like you originally booked.

Didn't want to create a new thread. Does anyone know if the same day change is applicable towards different airports if I wanted to make a change to the flight time? For example, a flight out of JFK to LAX, but I want to fly into Long Beach or Burbank instead? And also vice versa, if I have a flight out of Burbank or Long Beach, and I want to fly out of LAX instead? I am mosaic if that helps.

Thanks in advance.

Yup, as long as the airports are considered 'co-located airports' you can change airports as well. I did it the other day between BOS and ORH no problem (via mosaic line).

JetBlue recognizes the following airports as co-located cities for use when rebooking a schedule changed flight.
  • Boston: BOS, PVD, ORH
  • Los Angeles: LGB, BUR, LAX
  • New York: JFK, LGA, EWR, HPN, SWF
  • San Francisco: SFO, OAK, SJC
  • South Florida: PBI, FLL
  • Tampa Bay: SRQ, TPA
  • Washington D.C.: IAD, DCA

Affirmative

I once had PBI-LGA
Double Changed to FLL-EWR

No problem whatsoever

[/list]

I am surprised Washington DC is only IAD and DCA. Are you sure it also does not include BWI? Jetblue recognizes the WAS all area standard code to mean these three airports on its website.

I'm honestly not sure. I pulled that from jetblue.com, and so it could need updated/isn't complete. However, service to Baltimore started in 2009, and destinations on the list (such as ORH) didn't start until 2013...

Do the free changes apply to mint seats booked thru emirates miles too?
